Fall is in the air

Finally fall is drawing near. We are ready at our house. To get in the fall spirit, we attended the Morgan Academy football game on Friday night. It was a lot of fun! Kylie loved running around and getting to see the cheerleaders. We only made it mid-way through the 3rd quarter but had a wonderful time. It was totally different than my high school football games since the school is so smaller. It was a great atmosphere and I am really excited about Kylie going to Morgan later on.

Also since we are ready for Fall and very much looking forward to kick-off this weekend, I thought I would make over the blog for the upcoming season! Also keep scrolling down for several new posts.

Oh Baby Baby

Well we are now into babies. It is so funny how early girls learn to be motherly. Kylie goes and gets her baby doll, attempts to put her in the stroller (usually head first), gives her a bottle, hugs, and gives her kisses. She has this one baby that is naked and is really meant as a doll to play in the tub with, but it is her favorite. Looks like we maybe in the market for a doll and some accessories for Christmas.

Just for fun

Since I am so behind in blogging, I am posting a few random pictures I found on my camera of Kylie. My camera is back up and running so I am good to go now!

Outside Girl

Kylie loves the outdoors. If you pick up a pair of keys you can bet she will beat you to the door waiting to go out. Her Daddy loves this because this means the river house, camp house and the farm are a few of Kylie's favorite places to visit.

She loves to rides in the Bad Boy Buggie with my grandparents and Porter

She has figured out that if she carries around Porter's yellow fetch thrower then he will follow her around which she L.O.V.E.S!

Clothes Show

Back in August I hosted a Beaux et Belles show with my friend, Beth. It was so much fun! All of the clothes are custom made you just pick out the smocking plate you like and the options are endless. We had a blast helping everyone put together their outfits and the show was great! Looking forward to hosting again in the Spring. My front living room and dining room were basically overhauled to be a children's boutique for a week, so fun! I am very excited for my own purchases to make their way to my house.

Busy, Busy

This blog is seriously getting neglected. In all honesty, I have thought on more than one occasion about deleting it?? I need to get better especially since Kylie is growing like a weed.

We have been quite busy. This past weekend we traveled to Demop for a surprise 80th Birthday bash for my grand-dad. He was so surprised to see all of his golf buddies and their wives show up to what he thought was just a family cook-out. After the party, Lee and I loaded up Kylie and headed to Tuscaloosa to spend the night so we could celebrate Big Lee's (aka Paw-Paw) 60th Birthday on Sunday. Kylie had wayyy to much watermelon at my grand-dad's bash and was up ALL night Saturday night while we were in Tuscaloosa. Did you know watermelon converts to sugar? I did not and Saturday night was a nightmare. But in all honesty, I am not sure if the watermelon was the cause of our sleeplessness because she has not slept good all week. Not sure what is going on. I do know one thing, Lee and I are ready for some consistency in the sleep department. I have heard stories of children that do not sleep good until about 18 months-looks like we will probably fall in that category. Geez....

In other random news...

I decided to go with a 16x20 portrait of the 2nd picture in the previous post. I think it is going to look really pretty in our formal living room. The portrait will have brush strokes added as well as other enhancements. I picked out a beautiful antique gold frame, but am waiting for the portrait to be finished before ordering the custom frame.

Work has been super busy. I have 3 deals closing in the fall and 3 other construction jobs to close-out. Good to be busy, but I am looking forward to the end of November and celebrating the holidays without the stress of work. I am still commuting to work 3 days a week and working from home 2 days. The hour commute stinks, but the flex-schedule is worth it.

And since I am updating on everything, might as well go ahead and post the fact that I joined Weight Watcher's. This is my 2nd week. I lost 4lbs the 1st week, but fear I will not be that successful this week (the Bday celebrations got the best of me!). So far I really like it, I already feel much better and am glad I am making more conscious food decisions versus just cramming in anything and everything. We'll see what happens on this front.

Let's see, what else? Oh- I almost forgot, one of my bff's from college got ENGAGED. Congrats to Susan and Corey!! So happy for you two and so happy that you are thinking Cabo for the wedding destination!!! Congrats again!

I think that is all for now, I will try to post some pictures soon. I feel like I take pictures a good bit and then never post them so I am sure I have a big random collection built up on the ol' camera.

One Year Portraits

I had Kylie's one year portraits taken 2 weeks ago and we just got the proofs back. I want one of these to be a bigger, dressier portrait for our dining room. Hoping Lee will let me splurge on one and get it professionally framed too. Here are a few shots:

First Day of "School"

Today is Kylie's 1st day back at Little Friends! I am so excited, she moved up to the toddler class and her teachers and classroom are adorable! We went for open house last night and she cried when it was time to go, haha. Putting that child in a nursery/school environment early on was on of the best things we could have done for her, she LOVES it. So we had a easy 1st day, she walked right in, started playing and never looked back at me =). She has a sweet little class with lots of friends. So we are looking forward to an awesome year! Here are some pics from this morning:
