THE Dress!

Oh how I love Easter!!!!! Easter is such a special and fun holiday. I remember growing up and getting a new Easter dress every year and how much I looked forward to picking out that new special dress. I had Kylie's special dress made this year and it turned out beautiful. We are so blessed to have such wonderful seamstresses in Selma! This was our 1st year getting a French handsewn dress made. I am so glad I bit the bullet and had this done. I went with a light pink Swiss Batiste fabric and ecru French lace. One of my friends convinced me to get pink in case Baby #2 is a boy. If Baby #2 is a boy I will probably be stuck putting them in white or blue going forward. I am so glad I took her advice and went with the pink, it is a beautiful, delicate shade of pink and perfect for Spring. I wish I had a better camera so the pictures would do this justice. I have been dying to put Kylie in it and take some pictures but in an effort to not have to re-iron, we are waiting until Easter weekend.

Spring Break

This past weekend we decided to take a long weekend and head to the beach. The weather was beautiful on Friday and Saturday (still too cold for a swimsuit in my book, but still really pretty). Honey and Paw-Paw joined us and we had a nice time. Friday Kylie spent the afternoon playing in the sand and we went out to eat. Saturday we did more playing in the sand and then headed to the Gulf Shores zoo. That was her 1st trip to the zoo and she really liked it! The zoo was much better than I thought too and we all enjoyed. Saturday night we had another good seafood dinner. Sunday the weather was really cold and overcast so Honey and I packed up and hit the outlets. It was a great trip, but I am looking forward to going back with warmer weather.
This lion was beautiful! All I could think about was the movie The Hangover when we saw the Bengals
This one wanted to be right in there with the animals!

Opening Day

Lee woke up bright and early yesterday morning to go turkey hunting. He and Tommy met a little after 5 am to get started, YIKES. I try to be supportive but I just do not see how getting up that early can be sooo much fun, haha. Anyway they both came back with a turkey so they were thrilled. I asked him if this means that he does not have to go anymore this season and he just laughed. Oh well- I tried.

Tea Parties and Rodeos

We had an eventful, fun Saturday. We started the morning off at Jane's 2nd birthday party which was a tea party. It was precious!! Lauren really out did herself. Kylie had such a fun time with her little girlfriends. The pictures speak for themselves:
The kiddie table complete with tea party food
Lauren did such an amazing job with the food!
The adult table
The girls LOVED getting dolled up with crowns, necklaces, bracelets, and earring (don't worry they were stick ons!)
Kylie & Mary Emily loved the lip gloss
The Birthday Girl
Lovin the lip gloss!
Such a fun party!
After the party, we traded in our princess dress for boots and jeans and headed to Montgomery for the rodeo. We went with our friends, The Atchisons and had a really good time. The kids were pretty good and we managed to make it through the entire show (the suckers I brought along in my bag helped alot). Kylie loves horses so she was really into it. We had a fun day and now that I know she can sit through something like that I will probably brave taking her to some other shows.
Thomas Clay and Kylie watching the horses come out
Bull riding
Lee, Kylie, Thomas Clay, & Tommy
Daddy & Kylie looking at the cows
Checking out the rodeo clown
The weekend ended on Sunday with church followed by lunch at the Club. They had ice cream for dessert which a little someone LOVED!!

20 Months

Kylie bug turned 20 months old on March 7th...HARD.TO.BELIEVE. She is such a little girl now. She is really starting to talk and put words together. Sometimes we can understand her clear as day and others it takes us a little bit to catch on to what she is saying. She is still getting a bottle at night (hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it right?) She is still a pretty good sleeper, sleeping from 8 pm-7:30 am. She loves to give kisses and still loves the dogs. She will cry when both dogs are outside and beg for "da" and "poor" to be let in. She is extremely into Dora these days. She wants Dora to be on the TV at all times! She has gone potty in the potty a few times, and will clearly tell you when she has gone but no real effort on the potty training part, I do think it will come pretty quickly for her. She is just so much fun these days and we are soaking up every minute until the new baby gets here.

Update on pregnancy #2...I am now almost 14 weeks. I had a Dr.'s appointment on Monday and everything looked good. Heartbeat was around 160 bpm, this is about the same as Kylie's. I will not find out the sex until much later than I did with Kylie. With Kylie, we knew at 16 weeks, this time it will be 21 weeks (sometime in early May) before find out. I am thinking girl and Lee says he has no clue. I really feel that it is a girl though. Some of are friends have actually set a few wagers so we shall see. We are really ready to find out!!
