The Fabulous Follies

Sorry I am just now posting this! Follies were great this year. We had so much fun. Friday night's show was okay and so was the Saturday matinee, but Saturday night was a BLAST. The crowd on Saturday night was really fun. For example, on Saturday night a lady Lee works with that was in the crowd decided to come on stage and put a dollar in Lee's Spice Girl dress. haha. We also decided that during the guys' Splish Splash skit it would be fun to write messages on their backs during the show since they only wore a bath towel and no shirt. Poor Lee -- he ended up with the words "Wax Me" written on his back. He was obviously a really good sport! All in all it was a great experience and I am looking forward to participating 3 years from now (the League only puts on Follies once every three years).

One way the League makes money in association with Follies is by selling stage ads. Well Budweiser purchased a stage ad and I think they got their monies worth when these two came on stage to do the "Top Ten Reasons Selma Loves Budweiser" - HILARIOUS

Laura Beth and Me with Milburn, our director, this was his last show ever. Milburn seemed to enjoy Selma until Saturday night at the end of the show when one of the Budweiser "girls" decided to come out and sing "I Like My Women a Little on the Trashy Side". He did not think that was funny at all, haha.
